Invalid Email Domain (or Not Fully Set Up)

When setting up an email account in Conducttr, you may get an error message saying that "[] is either an invalid domain or has not been set up yet".

  1. The character's email address must be a real, operational email address, at a real domain name. You must be able to log into the account to send and receive email. If this is a new account, test it to make sure that it can send and receive without a problem.
  2. If the character's external email address uses a custom domain name owned by you or your organization, and if you purchased or configured the domain just recently, then it may take up to 24 hours for the domain to begin working correctly. Even if it already works for you on your computer, it may not work yet for Conducttr.
  3. If using a custom domain name owned by you or your organization, make sure that the domain name has valid "DNS records" - both "A" and "MX" types of records. This may require assistance from your system administrator or web host (unless you are the system administrator of course). Again, remember that it can take up to 24 hours for these changes to take effect.
